The
Basic Rider Course (BRC) is a 16-hour course normally administered over two consecutive days. The BRC is designed for people who have little or no experience and would like to obtain basic skills. Students who pass the BRC qualify for a MA motorcycle license without taking an RMV road test.
The Experienced Rider Course (ERC) is for motorcyclists with at least 1000 to 2000 miles of recent riding experience. The Experienced Rider Course is a one-day, six-hour class. Students who take the ERC with only a permit also qualify for licensing.
The Introductory Course is for those with zero riding experience who would like a head start on the BRC, or a low-cost way to "just try it out".
